Blog Review: Faiso

Faiso’s blog is travel centric, featuring many posts about where she has been and where she would like to go. While most posts stick to these topics, there are also a few reviewing examples of what she is styling her blog after.

The mentor blog she had first chosen was a blog about Taormina, Silicy. This blog goes day-by-day on a 30th birthday celebration trip to Taormina, detailing the hotel, food, travel and activities of each step of the journey. The second was a blog called Borders of Adventure by an award winning British blogger that covers a variety of topics from skiing in Austria to gondola riding in Venice. The third is Bucket List Journey which she found through a different travel blog. There is a book that came before this blog by the same author on the same topic. The author is also a restaurant owner at the same time.

Her first trip was to Toronto, Canada second through Wisconsin and ending up in Chicago. There are many pictures from both, most taken by her and many with friends and purplish Snapchat filter. She references many of the techniques that her group used to plan the trip in another post, The Planning Of A Remarkable Trip. This post details choosing a location to gathering tickets to various activities at that location, and how a group of high school students managed to work together to agree on one or another in even the smallest decisions.

In the future, she hopes to travel to NYC, being a big city type and seeing the New Year’s countdown every year on television in Times Square. She loves the aesthetic that YouTube presents of daily life in the city and enjoys all kinds of cuisine from the area, such as a rice dish with meat.
